Because Your Safety is Important
Since at VoipBar, your safety is of most importance to us, we would like you to fill out our short form during the sign up process which will tell us the street address where you are using the VoipBar service. This way we provide a safe and reliable means of communication in times of emergency. With E911 service, when you dial 911, your telephone number and registered address is immediately sent to the local emergency center assigned to your location, and emergency operators have access to the information they need to send help and call you back if necessary. In the case that the emergency center is not equipped to receive your number and address or have your address you must be prepared to give them your information.
You must register with VoipBar the physical location where you will utilize VoipBar phone service (Service) for each phone line. Also note that if you move your device to another location, you must register your new location – it's easy – just log into the features section of your web account and follow the instructions. If you do not register your new location, any 911 call you make may be sent to an emergency center near your old location. You will register your initial location of use when you subscribe to the Service. This process can take several hours, and you will receive a confirmation email once 911 Dialing has been activated for your initial location or for a newly registered location.
Remember that our 911 Dialing service will not function in the event of a broadband or power outage or if your broadband, ISP or phone service is terminated.
Just make sure your current address is registered with us, login in your account and change the address if you have moved the service to a new location.
